Hello travelers! Our Marymount study group to Egypt has been absolutely spectacular. The trip has exceeded all my expectations of what we might see. Today, our 4th day of the trip, we visited a perfume shop with enough oils and fragrances to make Solomon blush. This place had some of the most rare herbs, spices, oils and fragrances on the planet, the really authentic stuff. The highlight of our day was the Philia temple of the goddess Isis, one of those temples you only read about in adventure stories, temples that will make your kids play Indiana Jones for hours without end. The temple had heiroglyphs galore, columns, ancient hallways, huge statues, stone strucutres of ancient stone. This is truly not to be missed by any foreign traveler. The best part of the day was our trip to dinner and a Nubian dance show, one of the best shows I've been to. I was just cracking up at their antics onstage, their wonderful dancing, their cultural music, and their whole acts they put together were just a real treasure. The dancing was just a joyous and fun occasion. The trip of a lifetime opportunity where you can just go out and "Get the world by the tail, wrap it around, pull it down and put it in my pocket." by Kevin Bruehl
